hey guys. its me, terry. and its been a long time before i posted my previous (and lamest post compared to the others). And I've decided to show you all one of the master pieces I've written ( to me it is lar, but to you guys it may not be), my best written stories. you see. for the past year, I've been trying to write out fantasy stories. but to no much success. most of them seemed boring after the second page, which seems to be a great insult to those marvellous titles I've spent my nights(and dreams as well) to think of. But i managed to write out a decent story out in the end. and the title is......Guardians. the title may seem like titles for cartoons. but dont worry. its everything but cartoon. this is my 50th try, if this thing i wrote is crap. please forgive me, its my 50th try anyway....i will post the intro. if you guys want the story, please talk to me in msn. second story is currently underway... "I was engulfed in light. I could feel nothing but the small amount of heat swirling in the air. I was immobilized too. Just as I was about to black out in the bright lights, I was thrown off my feet, onto a hot, crusty ground. “ This is way un-cool,” I told myself as I got onto my feet. I glanced around; rocks pretty much covered all the walls. I scraped a layer off the rocks, and sniffed. “ Ashes,” I told myself. Ashes…. that’s bad. For all I know, people don’t usually find ashes anywhere, but there’s only one place that ashes would always be there, VOLCANOES. Until now, I’ve made quite a few conclusions, being transported into another world isn’t cool. Getting lost inside a volcano-like cave doesn’t seem quite appealing to me either… there’s only one thing I could do, that is getting my ass out of a this cave before something erupts and I’ll turn into an instant roasted pig. That idea totally put me off. Getting myself roasted isn’t something I wouldn’t want to happen. So I glanced around, looking for an exit. My eyes rested on a spot a few feet above me. Light filtered in from it. That’s where I’m going. I placed my hands on a rock sticking out from the wall, tugged to see its strength, and off I was climbing my way up to heaven. The only problem is, if I’m going to slip and fall ten feet off the Ground with gravity still kicking, I’m sure the outcome is no difference from bugs splatting onto windscreens of drivers driving at a few hundred kilometers per hour. I shuddered. No way I was going to let it happen, if I made it all the way here, I’m not going to kill myself over rock climbing. So I held on to the rocks more tightly and made my way up. “Just a few more feet,” I encouraged myself. I steadied myself and a nanosecond later, I head a crack. Bad, real bad. Mountaineers wouldn’t want to hear a crack halfway climbing up a mountain with their butt still dangling in the air a few hundred feets above the ground. I almost fell off. At this point of time, that’s when adrenaline kicks in and all things didn’t matter. I moved like greased lightning and jumped all the way up. I caught the mouth of the exit, and pulled myself out of the enclosed place. That’s when I really wished I stayed at home watching spongebobsquarepants, nothing more than this would put me off. Because what I am seeing is…there were hundreds of the caves I was in a few moments ago. This is a nightmare, what if the volcano erupted and they are trapped inside? Then the disgusting thought of lava swarming in and burning them off flashed. That’s horrible. Just as I was about to walk off looking for the seekers of the world, someone grunted behind me, “ hey son, turn around and identify yourself.” Gulp. “ Err…My name is Zech. Zech smith.” I blurted. He raised his eyebrows. “ If you really are, where is you bracelet?” he whispered. I held up my bracelet-hand. He stared at it for a moment; supposing he is looking if it was a fake or duplicate. After a tense moment, (which I thought he was going to bash me up with a wicked looking stick he’s got for telling lies) he looked at me. From where I look, he seems like a sixty plus year old man. But, from the stave he is holding, he doesn’t seem to mind hitting me with it. Its better not to mess with him. “ Ok I see it, follow me.” He beckoned.” Wait, you haven’t told me who you are.” I said. He turned around, and looked me straight in the eye, he grunted:” because I’m a Guardian, and I’m a friend, my name is fiery, from the fire tribe.” He held up his hand and showed me his bracelet with a fire symbol on it. “ Now would you follow me?” he asked in an anxious voice. “ I guess its ok then.” I replied, a little shaky. We walked through a small clearing of grasses, and after a few miles, we reached a small hut, with a fire symbol on the top. “ Where am I?” I whispered at his back. “ Its not safe to speak out here, we’ll talk inside” he replied softly, beckoning me to walk faster. And, he kept glancing around. That means he’s was taking precautions. And most of the time, when people are taking precautions, which only meant one thing…we are in risk of being followed. After of what seemed like an hour, I’m very sure I would never venture into this world after I finished my business here.” Here,” he beckoned, as he pushed open the door of the hut. Whoa. A dozen of people stood up, bowing and greeting me. “ Wait, wait, wait guys, I’m new here i don’t know what and who you guys are, from what I see, you guys seem like Guardians from the fire tribe?” I asked. All of them shot me a look like I was crazy. Yea I almost turned into one, if nobody is going to explain what’s going on now, I’ll most probably tell him or her I’m crazy and get my ass out of here. That was before Fiery spoke. “ Zech, we need you here, because we are in deep danger, danger from storms that are raging in our direction,” he said sadly ” if it isn’t stopped in time, then we will be history, because as you know, we depend on fire, fire is our only source of survival, if a storm comes raging and extinguishing our fire, then we will be history.” He looked at me with his eyes, both having a tinge of anxiousness. After thinking for a few minutes, I said reluctantly: “ ok, I will help, but I need to know how.” Fiery suddenly looked up at me, beaming. “ Sure thing son, in order to stop the storm, you need to get into one underwater volcano, and destroy an orb that is hovering in the middle of the volcano, that’s where the storm is brewing.” He said excitingly. But I wasn’t a least excited. “ What if I get sucked up by the storm and I’m on my way to space? Or maybe getting sucked up and falling all the way down a few thousand feet above ground?” I shouted, getting all worked up. But Fiery didn’t even blink. “ Here son, I know you are new and aren’t used to your duties, but that’s what u have to do, didn’t Albert explain everything to you? We are in need of your help Zech, if you are not going to help, nobody will.” He replied, all moody. “ Ok, I promise I will work out a plan, but now, I really need a rest.” I grunted, getting suddenly tired. “ Fine then, I’ll lead you to your room, I’m really sorry you’ve got to do all these, but we’ve got no choice. Please help us,” he pleaded. Looking at his anticipation, I nodded, which I wished I hadn’t. Now I’m in my room, working up a plan, in the midst writing this out. I really hope I will live to write out what happened; I only hope God will help me survive this mission, I want to live. To see my family and friends again… " |
